MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATION 👪
Did you ever notice that the word 'MOM' spelled upside down reads 'WOW' ??
MOTHER - that one word that cannot be defined in a single phrase, that one word that embodies all the love a human being can possibly offer. God couldn't be everywhere and therefore he made MOTHERS !
She does everything for you with unconditional love.
To celebrate her unconditional love, Westwind Kindergarten organised Mother's Day on 28th July,
from Grade Nursery to I.
Various competitions like fireless cooking, photo frame making, flower arrangement and clothes from newspaper were held. A number of games were played including Musical Chairs, Tailing the Donkey, Nimble Fingers and Musical balloons!
Many enthusiastic and creative mothers actively participated and made the day special.
We would like to thank our dear mothers for making this event such an enjoyable and entertaining one !!
INDEPENDENCE DAY
"Gar firdaus bar-rue zamin ast, hami asto, hami asto, hamin ast." (If there is heaven on earth,it's here, it's here, it's here.) There are no better words to describe our feelings for our beloved India.
To infuse the feeling of patriotism in the tiny tots, WESTWIND KINDERGARTEN celebrated the INDEPENDENCE DAY with joy and enthusiasm, exhibiting glimpses of our rich cultural heritage through a variety of cultural programs . There was a fancy dress show by tiny tots of Nursery, representing the different states of India. A patriotic song performance by LKG students and a mesmerising dance performance by UKG students, had everyone spellbound ! Grade I students gave a moving speech and represented the different symbols of India with pride and confidenceu. The highlight of the day was a puppet show organised for the children.
With festivity in the air ,the idea behind this event was to make an impact on the subconscious minds of our tiny tots and invoke the feeling of patriotism and love for our motherland India .

🌞🌞YELLOW YELLOW HAPPY FELLOW,
SHINING WAY UP HIGH,
SENDING WARMTH AND SUNNY DAYS
FROM HIS HOME UP IN THE SKY.🌞🌞
With an objective to recapitulate and reinforce the effects of yellow colour, *WestWind Kindergarten* School celebrated" *YELLOW DAY"* .
The classes were decorated with yellow balloons to welcome the kids. Cheerful children attired in yellow outfits were sparkling with optimism, enlightenment and happiness. Tiffins were filled with bananas, custard, jelly, pineapples, corns, etc🍍🍌🥭. Children were not only beautifully dressed in their preferred dresses but also had a yellow drink party🍹 to make it a complete "Yellow Day"!The day began with funfilled performances by teachers which included dances, role play, and songs followed by an exciting treasure hunt game. To make the children understand the significance of yellow colour, various colourful activities including drawing, colouring, vocabulary games, hand printing and paper craft were conducted to mark the day.
Beams of yellow shades carried the promise of a positive future flashing creative thoughts in the young minds.🌻🌻
*" We are all storytellers. We all live in a network of stories. There isn’t a stronger connection between children than storytelling.”*
The tiny tots of *LKG* had an amazing time enacting on the story “ *The Lion and the Mouse* ” which is a story on friendship between two animals, who despite their obvious dissimilarities, help each other and become great friends. The children learnt the *moral of the story* by experiencing the characters' perspectives in a fun way . They even wore masks and headgears!!
*It would be wonderful if you encourage your child to tell you a story too!* It's important that kids have the opportunity to use their imagination to develop ideas and narrate a story.
*Weave a Story !*
Stories have a deep impact on children's imagination and understanding. The little ones of our *UKG* had a wonderful story listening session today. The session became more enjoyable and interesting when the children saw their teachers enacting out the story !! It was indeed a fun-filled session as the makeshift stage and our courtyard reverberated with laughter !
We would request all you dear parents to ask our tiny tots to narrate the tale of 'Two Silly Goats' to you as well . Join us in the weaving out the magic of stories !!
*Magical Fairy Tales* !
" ⭐If you want your children to be imaginative and intelligent, read them fairy tales. 🧚♀If you want them to be gain values too, read them more fairy tales.🧚♀" - Very well said by Albert Einstien.
Our pretty petals of Nursery had an enjoyable time watching their teachers enacting the fairy tale : *Goldilocks and the three 🐻🐻🐻Bears*
Our kids learned the moral of story by experiencing the perspective of the characters in a sensible manner, really commendable at such tender age.
The kids immensely enjoyed the story enactment .
" *Friends, sun, sand, and sea, that sounds like a summer to me."* 🌞🏜
With the onset of summers, children start eagerly waiting for ice creams, juices, swimming pools and vacations🏄♂️, and, look forward to endless hours spent *playing*, *dancing* and *having fun* ! Westwind Kindergarten decided to make these wishes come true on the last day of school before the vacations. Our little angels had a cool way to beat the heat, as they enjoyed an exciting summer break party. The *beach ambience* 🏝 came live with a splash- sea shells, buckets and spades, umbrellas for shade🏖, playing in sand- making castles and the beach music added a flavour of rhythm🎶. Some kids were joyously singing along, while the rest of them were at the beats of music with their tapping dance. Children came dressed in stylish informals👒🕶. They had a terrific time at the photo booth specially created for them. There were games 🤾♀️organised, a movie was screened for them too.
Nothing could have been better than a chilled popsicle as treat in the end 🍨. Practically bouncing with joy and excitement, the tiny tots went home with pockets full of memories, promising to come back with new fold energy and vigour to join their friends, back in June.
